Enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of first-time parenthood. Progress on the organic vegetable garden and other ramblings of a gaijin in Japan's least populous prefecture.

Hello,

I feel your pain in regards to the humidity in the garden. I have not attended one wedding this year, but my unwed daughter has been a bridesmaid three times this year. Since you enjoy gardening I was wondering if you would enjoy reading a book "Diary of a Wannabe Gardener" by me Dorothy Guyton. It relates the trials and tribulations of a Mississippi gardener and all that she goes through in nature and life. It is quite humorous and captures the essence of we gardeners. If nothing else, it breaks the monotony of waiting for nature to behave for you in the garden. It is available at Amazon.com and other on line book sellers. the price is reasonable $9.95. I'm hoping to start a lot of conversation with my gardening families across the world and this is a great dialog inducer. Enjoy nature and enjoy life. Happy reading.

I think it has - still a bit humid, I really can't concentrate on anything.
The wedding was a bit different to what I was expected - although not unexpected. We had a good time. I normally get a bad head the next day, even after a easy session. It must be something to do with your frame of mind. Miho and her husband returned from Okinawa the other day, well and with a Hibiscus cutting for me to try my luck.
